The GW-type external-filter vacuum rotary drum filter is a solid–liquid separation device independently developed by our company. It features a compact structure, advanced performance, fully automated and continuous operation, stepless speed regulation, and convenient use and maintenance. Additionally, it can be equipped with a spray‑washing system to rinse the filtered solids. This equipment is primarily used in industries such as chemical processing and mining for the dewatering, washing, and concentration of materials with fine particle sizes and high viscosities.
Working principle
The GW-type external-filter press is a solid–liquid separation device that employs scraper discharge. During filtration, under vacuum suction, the filtrate passes through the filter cloth, the filtration chamber, and the filter tubes, converging at the distribution valve and being discharged via the vapor–water separator, while solid particles are retained on the surface of the filter cloth to form a filter cake. Once the filter cake is lifted above the liquid level, it sequentially enters the washing zone, the dewatering zone, and the discharge zone. In the discharge zone, the filter cake is blown off by reverse air jets and removed by a scraper, thereby completing one filtration cycle. The process then resumes with fresh slurry, initiating the next operational cycle.
